The Takuma brand
Takuma was a French brand with a narrow focus: eFoils and hydrofoils, nothing else. The company ran offices in four countries (Japan, France, Spain, and New Caledonia) and built its reputation on serious value for the money: Takuma eFoils sold for far less than the premium competition.
The lineup consisted of two eFoil boards: the Carver (for advanced riders) and the Cruising (for beginners and heavier riders).

These two boards made up the entire Takuma range. Neither is available new anymore; we've left the original write-ups in place for anyone hunting on the used market.
Takuma Efoil Carver
The Takuma Efoil Carver is a compact board built for hard-charging riders and intense sessions. Its tight dimensions make you faster on the water, and because both board and wing are on the small side, the Carver stays stable even at higher speeds.
The 60 cm mast keeps you flying comfortably in bigger waves and opens up tight, sporty turns. The board reacts instantly to every shift of your weight. Recommended for advanced, experienced eFoilers.

The bigger, more stable model, ideal for beginners and heavier riders.

What happened to Takuma?
By 2026 the story was over: Takuma ceased operations and withdrew from the market. The brand's eFoils and hydrofoils are no longer sold new; the profile above stays online as an archive.
If you own a Takuma eFoil, plan around the fact that manufacturer spare parts and warranty support are gone. Your best sources for parts are the used market and independent watersports workshops. Watch the condition of the battery and electronics especially closely, because those are exactly the components that are hardest to replace.
