The seven active brands
This page compares every eFoil brand we cover, model by model, and by 2026 each of them has found its place in the market (you will also see the sport written e-foil). Lift and Flite set the two premium benchmarks, and Aerofoils, the German manufacturer whose eFoil was first presented as the Audi e-tron foil, builds with safety in mind. Awake, headquartered in Copenhagen, brings a Scandinavian design on two platforms. SiFly and Waydoo fight it out on value, and the Canadian HydroFlyer, with its removable handlebar, does not fit any of these groups.
Takuma, the eighth familiar name, went into liquidation in July 2024, and its website is offline. Where each brand stands is summed up in the table below, and the individual boards sit side by side in the model matrix.

The model matrix, board by board
Below are the current eFoil models from the active brands, with jetboards left out. Waydoo's EU store also sells the inflatable Epix E-Foil Set, listed at €7,499.99 with VAT on 3 October 2026. It comes with two interchangeable boards and works with Flyer EVO masts, wings and drives.
Each model name in the table links to that board's full profile on its brand page, complete specs included. The prices are the makers' own list prices, in euros or US dollars depending on the store. Compare them carefully: SiFly and Awake quote theirs before VAT, while Waydoo and Aerofoils include it.

Price brackets: what your money buys
With VAT counted in, the field falls into three rough classes. The Waydoo EVO series and SiFly's Rider / Lite family make up the entry class (roughly €5,800 to €8,500). These boards have a robust, forgiving build or an inflatable hull, and the full sensation of flight is already there. One step up, the midfield (about €8,500 to €12,000) holds SiFly's carbon Stellars, the inflatable Flite AIR, the Waydoo EVO Master, and Lift's fiberglass LIFT5 F line.
The premium class (above €12,000) is home to the LIFT5 and LIFTX, the carbon models of the Flite Series 6, the Awake VINGA Carve, and every Aerofoils set except the inflatable Airfly, whose €11,799 puts it in the midfield. At this level the boards differ mainly in build quality, weight, and the finer points of how they ride.

Which eFoil for whom?
Start out on a big board with a big front wing, and let the speed come later on its own. That is our rule of thumb, and our guide on how to choose board size, front wing and mast explains the reasoning behind it. Within that rule, we would narrow the choice like this:
- If you are starting from zero and want the easiest way to learn, a handlebar gets you there fastest. That points to the Flite Flitescooter or the Aerofoils Hyperfly. Among the boards without a handlebar, Waydoo calls its 130-liter EVO Max Plus the most stable board of its Flyer EVO range and the easiest to learn on.
- On a tight budget, and with a manufacturer based in the EU in mind, go for SiFly. The Rider is the cheapest way in, and the Stellar family steps up to carbon construction.
- For the lowest complete-set price with VAT already included, look at the Waydoo Flyer EVO. Its Lite starts around €5,800 on Waydoo's EU store. SiFly's Rider lists from €4,999, but that figure is before VAT is added.
- For a premium board you will keep for many years, choose between the Lift LIFT5 and the Fliteboard ICON. Between those two benchmarks, taste and the distance to the nearest service partner make the call.
- Aerofoils is the pick when safety comes first (family, kids). It fits an enclosed jet drive to every board, so there's no open propeller anywhere in its range. Lift and Flite sell jet drives as well, alongside their propeller setups.
- Want an eFoil and a jetboard in one system? Then look at Awake, whose VINGA Carve and RÄVIK boards run on the shared Flex battery platform.
- Trying one before you buy is worth the effort. eFoil schools and rental centers on lakes and coastlines worldwide run boards from these brands, and one booked session settles questions no price list can.
