The Lift brand
Lift is based in Puerto Rico and has a decade of history behind it. What began as a father-and-son garage project is now the leading premium brand in the eFoil segment. In 2017, Lift introduced the first eFoil anyone could actually buy.
The lineup has been through several generations since then. In 2026 it rests on three pillars: the carbon flagship LIFT5, the fiberglass entry point LIFT5 F, and the ultralight LIFTXseries, joined by signature editions from Laird Hamilton and John John Florence. Clean workmanship and high-grade materials have been the brand's calling card from the start.

Models and prices (2026)
Lift offers size variants within each model line: the same line comes in several board lengths, and the length decides who the board is for. Bigger boards sit steadier on the water and are more forgiving while you learn; smaller ones are quicker to turn. The price is fixed per line and doesn't depend on the size you choose.
LIFT5LIFT5 (2026)
Lift's flagship carbon series in three sizes (4'4 Pro, 4'9 Sport, 5'4 Cruiser), with the Gen5 battery and Elite controller. There is also a Laird Hamilton signature edition.

LIFTXLIFTX (2026)
Lift's lightweight series: the complete set weighs just 20-21 kg, the battery is smaller (1 kWh), and the electric assist 'disappears' as soon as you don't need it. Available in a John John Florence signature edition.

Lift eFoil 6'2" Explorer
The biggest eFoil from Lift, the easiest to learn on and the most stable board in the lineup. Ideal for beginners, schools, rental fleets, and heavier riders.

Lift and the competition
Lift is the brand every other maker gets measured against: it invented the category, and the carbon LIFT5 still serves as the reference board. Its biggest rival is Australia's Flite. Wherever that duel goes, the premium market follows. With the LIFTX line, Lift has just carved out a new niche: ultralight, surf-flavored eFoils that the competition has no direct answer to yet.

Anyone who wants the original and plans to keep it for years: the Lift ecosystem of Gen5 batteries, wings, and controllers has been maintained consistently across product cycles, and the brand ranks near the top for resale value. With the LIFT5 F, Lift lowered its entry price, so the lineup is no longer just for buyers with no budget ceiling; it now fits anyone shopping for a first premium board. Lift on your home waters
Quiet, electric, and nearly wakeless: a Lift suits inland lakes and calm coastal bays well, because it barely disturbs the water and won't annoy anyone on shore. The legal side is another story.
