Electric Jet Ski for Sale

Where a ROXEN or a Taiga Orca can be ordered from the UK or Ireland, what import adds, why a used one is hard to find, and the toys sold under the same name

Last updated:

Who sells an electric jet ski

You will not find an electric jet ski in a British or Irish showroom. The big names in personal watercraft have not put an electric series model into volume production, according to the German dealer E-SURFER, and what can be bought comes from small makers. Two of them build a seated electric jet ski and publish a price for it: Roxen Innovations in Sweden with the ROXEN, and Taiga Motors in Canada with the Orca family. Neither names a dealer in the UK or Ireland.

Both are ordered from abroad. Roxen reserves craft through its own web store, Taiga through a dealer the buyer picks, and in both cases the importing, the delivery and the question of who services the craft afterwards land with you. Around them sit a stand-up electric board, a seated hydrofoil and a crowd of inflatable toys, all of which turn up when you search for an electric jet ski for sale.

Reserving a ROXEN from Sweden

Roxen's web store does not sell the craft outright. It sells a €500 reservation, which holds your place in the queue and counts toward the price. Roxen shares an estimated delivery date once production is scheduled, and the reservation stays non-binding until availability is confirmed and you sign a purchase agreement. Up to that signature the €500 is fully refundable.

The store serves the UK in pounds and Ireland in euros. A UK visitor sees the reservation as £426, which is an automatic conversion of the €500 and not a pound list price; Roxen publishes none. The craft itself starts at €17,900 excluding VAT and shipping, and Roxen adds that pricing may vary by market and dealer.

You can buy direct at roxen.eu or through an authorised dealer, and many of Roxen's dealers offer demo rides, but Roxen names none in the UK or Ireland. It says it is building a global network of dealers and offers them exclusive territories. Financing and leasing are offered in selected regions, so ask whether yours is one of them before you count on either.

A reservation is not locked to you. With Roxen's written approval it can be transferred to someone else, or you can cancel it at any time for a full refund. Roxen also runs a Riders Community in Europe and the US with demo events and meet-ups, the nearest thing to a test ride for a buyer with no dealer in reach. The reservation terms are on Roxen's product page and in its FAQ.

Ordering a Taiga Orca through a dealer

Taiga lists three electric personal watercraft. The Orca P2 carries two riders, the Orca WX3 is a three-seat crossover with a built-in water sport hook, and the Orca Carbon is a limited run of 300 with a carbon fibre hull and deck. Starting prices are in dollars only: $20,999 for the P2, $23,999 for the WX3 and $25,999 for the Carbon, with Canadian dollar prices beside them. There is no price in euros or pounds, and Taiga's Europe site setting shows prices in US dollars.

Ordering goes through a dealer. The buyer chooses one of Taiga's partnered dealers, yet the dealers page carries no list, only a form headed “Become a Taiga Dealer”, and none in the UK or Ireland is named. Where Taiga does have a dealer, the arrangement can be exclusive and regional: in September 2025 Nautical Ventures became the sole Taiga dealer and service provider for four Florida counties.

In May 2026 Taiga said it had begun the first deliveries of series-built electric watercraft to Europe, without naming the countries. No trailer comes with the craft. At 357 kg for the P2 and 371 kg for the WX3, one is not going on a roof rack, so a trailer belongs on the shopping list from the start. Ordering details are in Taiga's FAQ.

The company's history since 2024 matters to anyone paying a deposit. Taiga went into creditor protection in Canada in July 2024, was bought by the group that also owns the electric boat brands Vita, Evoy and Aqua superPower, and restarted production and deliveries in May 2025.

Stand-up boards, foilers and craft that never arrived

Shops file more than the seated craft under the electric jet ski heading. E-SURFER in Germany lists four craft there, among them the ROXEN, the JETSURF Electric 2 Ski and the Awake NAVI. Its prices include 19% German VAT, so its €21,301 for the ROXEN is Roxen's €17,900 with that VAT added.

JETSURF Electric

The JETSURF ELECTRIC is a stand-up board for one rider. It weighs 33.9 kg without bindings, has a carbon hull, takes a maximum load of 100 kg and rides for 25 to 45 minutes at up to 55 km/h. Jetsurf USA lists the Electric 2 Ski at $16,490 and sells it online as a $1,000 deposit. It is a different craft from a seated jet ski, closer to the boards on our electric surfboard page.

A stand-up jetboard, here an Awake Ravik, is a different craft from a seated jet ski, though shops often list the two together.

Awake NAVI

Awake calls the NAVI “a fully electric hydrofoil watercraft” that carries up to two people at up to 30 km/h and rises above the surface. E-SURFER calls it an electric foiler, not a jet ski. The full system costs €39,990 and is sold as a €10,000 pre-order down payment. Awake shows no prices in pounds; UK visitors see euros. The brand's boards are covered on our Awake page, and foiling craft with seats on the hydrofoil boat page.

Announced, not delivered

Some electric craft were announced and have not reached buyers. BRP announced on 25 March 2021 that it would offer electric models in each of its product lines by the end of 2026. In September 2026 RideApart reported that Sea-Doo had confirmed it would not deliver an electric personal watercraft that year, and its product strategy manager said electric “is not the solution for the water” for now. The Sea-Doo Rise electric hydrofoil board, shown in 2022, has not been delivered and has no published specification or price, according to E-SURFER. Neocean, the French maker of the Overboat hydrofoil jet ski, ceased operations and its assets were sold, according to E-SURFER. None of these can be ordered new.

Import duty, VAT and getting it home

Duty is the easy part. The UK Trade Tariff code for motorboats other than outboards up to 7.5 m, 8903 31 00 00, carries 0% third country duty and 20% VAT, and the preference rate for goods from the EU and Canada is 0% as well. The two other codes that could apply, 8903 99 99 00 and 8903 93 90 00, also carry 0% duty and 20% VAT. Whichever of the three HMRC applies to an electric personal watercraft, by our reading the result does not change: no duty, and 20% import VAT on the value of the craft plus the cost of carriage.

For a ROXEN that gives a rough figure. At the Roxen store's own pound rate on 7 November 2026, our calculation turns €17,900 into about £15,240 before VAT and shipping, and adding 20% VAT brings it to about £18,290. Shipping and the VAT on that shipping come on top, and the exchange rate moves, so treat it as indicative only. Roxen publishes no pound list price.

Collection and delivery

Roxen ships EX Works unless agreed otherwise, which leaves you to arrange transport from Sweden, where it has offices and production in Linköping and Stockholm. The craft is small enough for that to be manageable. It packs down to 2.6 x 1.16 x 0.80 m for transport, the hull weighs 79 kg and the battery 33 kg, and Roxen calls it roof rack ready. A Taiga Orca is a different job, weighing over 350 kg and arriving without a trailer.

One battery and a charger come with every ROXEN, and the charger runs from a standard 230 V socket. A second battery costs €5,900 excluding VAT and shipping, and the charger is €790 on its own in the euro web store, where VAT treatment is not stated. Taiga's included Level 1 cable is made for 120 V North American sockets and a Level 2 charger costs extra; for Europe, Taiga fits a CCS2 plug on its new models.

Buying from Ireland

Roxen's store shows Irish visitors prices in euros, and the €17,900 base price excludes VAT and shipping here as well. Ask Roxen how VAT is charged on an order delivered to Ireland before you sign the purchase agreement. Taiga names no Irish dealer either. The rules for riding one on Irish water are on our electric jet ski licence page.

The used electric jet ski market

A second-hand one is hard to find. A Gumtree UK search for “electric jet ski” on 7 November 2026 turned up no seated electric personal watercraft, only petrol jet skis, toys, an inflatable and wanted ads. For most buyers the realistic choice is a new craft or a place in someone else's queue.

That queue is the closest thing to a second-hand route. Roxen allows a reservation to be transferred with its written approval, so a buyer who changes their mind can pass the place in the queue on. Ask Roxen, and get the approval in writing before any money changes hands between you and the seller.

Roxen also pitches its craft at hire firms, describing the connected app with its fleet management as well suited to commercial rental. A used ROXEN that does come up may have worked in a rental fleet, so ask how it was used. The wider second-hand picture for electric boards, which is much busier, is on our used eFoil page.

Checks before you buy a used one

The battery is the part to judge first, and the hardest. Roxen publishes no cycle count and no expected battery life, so there is no maker figure to hold a used pack against. How it was kept says more. Roxen tells owners to keep the battery indoors at room temperature over winter. Jetsurf's manual asks for the battery to come out for any break longer than a week, stored dry at 10 to 30 °C and charged to no more than 50%, and warns that heat “greatly speed[s] up the aging process”. By that guidance, a pack left fully charged in a hot garage has aged faster than one kept cool and half full.

  • Open the app together. The ROXEN app works over 4G/LTE and shows live speed, battery and GPS position, runs diagnostics and takes over-the-air updates. Ask the seller to log in in front of you and show the battery reading and any diagnostic messages.
  • A new ROXEN ships with one battery and a charger. A replacement charger lists at €790 in the euro web store and a second battery at €5,900 excluding VAT and shipping, so a missing one is a large deduction.
  • Roxen's 24-month warranty says nothing about passing to a second owner, so put the serial number to Roxen in writing before you pay.
  • A Jetsurf loses its warranty through, among other things, transporting or storing the board with the battery connected, using a damaged battery, or charging straight after riding, so how the seller carried and charged it matters.
  • A Taiga brought over from North America comes with a Level 1 cable made for 120 V North American sockets, not British ones.
  • Ask for the original invoice, so that you know which seller, and which dealer, the warranty and service would run through.

A used electric craft needs the same paperwork on the water as a new one. By our reading UK law treats electric and petrol watercraft alike, so the same permits, insurance and registration apply unless a local rule differs. Our licence page goes through harbour permits water by water, and the eFoil battery guide explains lithium pack care in more depth.

Warranty and service with no local dealer

Roxen gives 24 months on materials and workmanship across all ROXEN products. A service check at 12 months is recommended, not required. Roxen states no separate term for the battery, so ask how the 24 months apply to the pack before you order.

Taiga's terms sit in its Limited Warranty Policy, and service comes from Taiga or from the dealer that delivered the craft. With no Taiga dealer in the UK or Ireland, settle before ordering who will look at the craft if something fails, and where it would have to travel. A ROXEN bought direct from Sweden leaves you with the question just as much.

Jetsurf gives one year on materials and workmanship where the law does not already guarantee it, counted from the day the owner receives the board. Defects go to the selling dealer within 30 days of being found.

The maker has to be there to honour any of this. Taiga went into creditor protection in July 2024 and restarted production under new owners in May 2025, and Neocean, by E-SURFER's account, ceased operations altogether. Keep a deposit refundable for as long as the terms allow.

Electric jet ski conversion kits

No off-the-shelf kit is on sale that turns a petrol jet ski into an electric one. Two Australian attempts show how far conversion has got, and neither is a product.

In March 2021 Watercraft Journal reported that EClassboats, a workshop in New South Wales, was experimenting with fitting a 2008 Kawasaki Ultra with a 50 kW motor and a 10 kWh battery pack, at an estimated $10,000 to $12,000 (the currency was not stated). It was an experiment. In July 2026 Region Illawarra reported that EClass Outboards in Kiama sells “rePower” kits for petrol boats from 8 to 60 hp, while its jet ski retrofit is a prototype backed by $33,000 of New South Wales state funding, not on sale and without a price.

Anyone with a petrol jet ski who wants to ride electric is choosing a new craft. The kits that can be bought, such as EClass's rePower, are made for boats, and the wider choice of battery-powered hulls is on our electric boat page.

Inflatable electric jet skis for children

A marketplace search for an electric jet ski brings up toys beside the petrol craft. The inflatable electric “jet ski” is a class of its own, with a PVC hull and a small electric drive that moves at a few kilometres an hour; the children's versions run at about 3.2 km/h. A full-size electric jet ski has 22 to 120 kW and reaches 55 km/h or more.

The two share a name and nothing else. If a listing's price sits far below anything on our price comparison, look for the words inflatable, PVC or kids in the description before assuming you have found a bargain.

Frequently asked questions

Can you buy an electric jet ski in the UK?

Yes, but not from a UK showroom. Roxen in Sweden takes reservations from UK buyers through its own web store, and Taiga in Canada sells through partnered dealers. Neither names a dealer in the UK or Ireland, so the craft comes to you as an import.

Is there an electric jet ski dealer in the UK or Ireland?

No. Roxen and Taiga both name none. Roxen is recruiting dealers and offers exclusive territories, and Taiga's dealer page carries only an application form for would-be dealers.

Do you pay import duty on an electric jet ski brought into the UK?

By our reading of the UK Trade Tariff, no. Every customs code that could apply to a personal watercraft carries 0% duty, and the EU and Canada preference rate is also 0%. Import VAT of 20% is due on the value of the craft plus the cost of carriage.

Where can I find a used electric jet ski?

With difficulty. On 7 November 2026 a Gumtree UK search for electric jet ski showed no seated electric craft at all, only petrol jet skis, toys, an inflatable and wanted ads. A ROXEN reservation can also pass from one buyer to another with Roxen's written approval, which is the nearest thing to a second-hand route.

Can I convert my petrol jet ski to electric?

Not with a kit you can buy. The conversions on record are an Australian workshop experiment and a state-funded prototype in New South Wales, and neither is for sale.

Does Sea-Doo sell an electric jet ski?

No. Sea-Doo's UK range is all petrol. BRP promised in 2021 to offer electric models in every product line by the end of 2026, but in September 2026 Sea-Doo confirmed, as RideApart reported, that it would not deliver an electric watercraft that year. Its Rise electric foil board, shown in 2022, has not been delivered either.

What warranty comes with a new ROXEN?

24 months on materials and workmanship, for every ROXEN product. Roxen recommends a service check at 12 months but does not require it, and it publishes no separate term for the battery and nothing on whether the warranty passes to a second owner.

Is the £426 on Roxen's UK store the price of the craft?

No, it is the €500 reservation converted automatically into pounds. It holds a place in the queue and counts toward the price.

Is an inflatable electric jet ski the same thing?

No. An inflatable one is a children's toy that moves at walking pace, around 3.2 km/h. The full-size craft have motors of 22 kW and more and reach 55 km/h or more.
