Who rents and teaches, region by region
Each large Polish city has its nearest eFoil water, and it is seldom in town; Wrocław is the exception, with boards on the Odra inside the city. Warsaw rides a reservoir 35 km north, Kraków a wakepark lake west of town, the Tricity Puck Bay, and Szczecin whatever lake or lagoon the board is delivered to. Most bases work from a hotel pier, a campsite or a wakepark, and most of them open from May to September.
Two board brands turn up again and again. Fliteboard flies at Zegrze, Wrocław, Gliwice, Szczecin and Kołobrzeg, Waydoo at Zegrze, Kryspinów, Szczecin, Wilkasy and Chałupy. SiFly appears once, with a school that drives to lakes around Wrocław.

Lublin is the one big city without a board of its own. In Poznań the foiling happens at Kiekrz, where a test center rents out wing gear to try.
Warsaw and Lake Zegrze
The bases serving Warsaw work from Zalew Zegrzyński, an artificial reservoir on the Narew dammed at Dębe, at hotels north of the city. e-Foil Zegrze teaches and rents on Fliteboard from the pier of Hotel 500 Premium Zegrze in Zegrze Południowe, about 35 km from central Warsaw. Its first lesson, Pierwsza Fala, costs 450 zł (€100) and takes about an hour and a half, 60 minutes of it on the water with a headset link to the instructor and all gear included. Only after it can you rent alone, at 340 zł (€75) an hour or 1,200 zł (€275) for a day with two charged batteries. A 10 hour pack costs 2,600 zł (€590).
The school takes riders from 14 with parental consent (younger ones after a consultation) and up to about 120 kg, and they must be able to swim. Lessons run in water at least 1.5 m deep. Strong wind or a storm gets you a free new date; light rain does not.
Wakeschool, at the same hotel, rents Waydoo boards for 290 zł (€65) an hour, or 450 zł (€100) with an instructor, and brings boards by boat to Serock, Nieporęt and Jachranka. In Serock, Efoil Surf teaches on Fliteboard at the beach of Hotel Narvil and sells credit passes and puts no price on its course stages.

Zegrze Południowe is the last stop of the SKM S4 line. Fewer trains run on the stretch from Wieliszew, with extra services in summer, so check the SKM timetable before you set out.
The Narew and Bug that feed the lake average about 16 °C in May, 21 °C in June and 22 °C in July and August. No station measures the reservoir itself; we assume it follows the rivers. Okęcie airport records April as the windiest month and August as the calmest, about 7 knots against 5.5 on the monthly mean.
Bydgoszcz inland navigation order 7/2024 (annex, note 8) sets 15 km/h on the lake for mechanically propelled craft, 10 km/h with a load, unless signs say otherwise. On three stretches, Dębe to Wierzbica, Nieporęt to Zegrze and Serock to Nowa Wieś, the limit does not run across the whole width of the lake. We read that as no km/h limit on the open water there, and we count an eFoil as a mechanically propelled craft.
Near people the order is stricter. Within 50 m of the shore, piers, rental points, bathing areas and anyone in the water, you move at minimum steerage speed by the shortest route, and sudden turns are out.
Kraków and the reservoirs in the hills
The lakes inside Kraków are swimming water. Park Zakrzówek bans floating equipment without the park manager's consent (kayaks, pontoons, mattresses and boards excepted), and at Bagry the city bans entering the buoyed protection zone. Neither offers an eFoil, and we read both rules as meaning a motor board needs consent. Zbiornik Dobczycki, the main drinking water reservoir of the Kraków area, is closed to navigation.
Nobody rides the Vistula through the city. The river falls under the Wrocław inland navigation order 1/2021 (Dz. Urz. Woj. Dolnośl. 2021 poz. 2550), whose § 5(1)(6) sets 15 km/h from km 57.80 at the Kanał Łączański outlet to km 92.60 at Przewóz, with no exception for small craft. We take that limit to bind an eFoil. Under § 11, every craft keeps at least 150 m from weirs and hydro plants.
The nearest board is at Wake Park Kraków, Cholerzyn 361, on Zalew Kryspinów west of the city. Jet Surfing Polska runs an eFoil base there from May to September, names the Waydoo Flyer One as its board and publishes no price. Kryspinów is managed by gmina Liszki and is mostly a beach and a day out, with a cable wakepark on its North Beach.
Two reservoirs in the hills take longer to reach. At Mucharz 180 on Jezioro Mucharskie, the Skawa reservoir at Świnna Poręba between Beskid Mały and Beskid Makowski, Flyboard Polska rents eFoils next to motorboats and an electric boat, with two instructors on site from May to September and no published eFoil price. Farther south, ElectroSurf rents at Niedzica on Jezioro Czorsztyńskie, under Niedzica castle: 200 zł (€45) for 30 minutes, 300 zł (€70) for 60 minutes or until the battery is empty, vest and helmet included and a wetsuit 10 zł extra. Bring ID, which it asks for at every rental, and pay on site in cash or by BLIK.
In 2009 the Nowy Targ county council banned craft with combustion propulsion on the Czorsztyn and Niedzica reservoir. WSA Kraków declared the resolution void on 5 June 2017, a ruling that was not final, and the NSA ruled on the case in September 2019. The ban names combustion only, which we understand to leave an electric board out. The starostwo in Nowy Targ can confirm where it stands.
Wrocław, the Odra and Mietków
Efoil Wrocław, an authorized Flite distributor, rents and teaches on the Odra at Osobowice. Pierwszy lot, a one to one first flight, costs 450 zł (€100). A group lesson with one or two others starts at 325 zł (€75) per person. The minimum age is 10, and riders under 18 need written parental consent.
Board hire runs by the day or longer. A Friday to Sunday weekend costs 1,700 zł (€385), a week 3,000 zł (€685), and weekdays 425 zł (€95) a day with a three day minimum, vest and helmet included.
Wrocław order 1/2021 governs the Odra as well. Its § 5(1)(3) sets 15 km/h from km 181.3 to km 542.4, the whole Wrocław water node included, but leaves out small craft, and we read an eFoil as a small craft. The 150 m from weirs and hydro plants under § 11 holds here too.
Efoil Academy, the SiFly distributor, teaches in three stages and comes to lakes within about 50 km of Wrocław, with the place agreed when you book. One stage for one person costs 399 zł (€90).
Mikosport on Zalew Mietkowski (9.29 km²) lists eFoil rental at 250 zł (€55) an hour and a lesson at 350 zł (€80) an hour, plus a compulsory 50 zł (€10) briefing for first timers. Its season starts in May. Confirm the eFoil offer when you book.
The reservoir lies in Park Krajobrazowy Dolina Bystrzycy and is a Natura 2000 bird area, “Zbiornik Mietkowski” PLB020004. We take that to mean riding only from the operator's base and keeping off the reed belts.
Katowice, Gliwice and the Silesian lakes
Gliwice is a drive along the A4 from Wrocław, toll free for cars since 1 July 2023. BikeAndSurf there rents a Fliteboard AIR for 350 zł (€80) a day with one battery, helmet and vest, to adults with ID. A second battery adds 150 zł (€35) a day and a fast charger 100 zł (€25). The deposit is 1,000 zł (€230), or nothing if your private liability policy covers rented sports gear. Training comes as a voucher, 600 zł (€135) for 2 hours or 800 zł (€180) for 3.
E-adventure in Katowice lists lessons at 350 zł (€80) for an hour and 1,490 zł (€340) for a 5 hour pack. JetWave runs eFoil on Jezioro Pławniowickie, about 250 ha near Gliwice, from June to August. Park Pogoria in Dąbrowa Górnicza, where Pogoria IV alone covers about 560 ha, has water sports but no published eFoil price.
Cross Zbiornik Dzierżno Duże off the list. A Silesian voivode order of 5 August 2024 closed it to use because of pollution. On Zalew Rybnicki, city resolution 213/XIV/2015 bans craft with combustion engines, and we read an electric eFoil as outside it.
Lublin
Lublin has water but no board. Zalew Zemborzycki in the south of the city covers about 280 ha at a mean depth of about 2 m. It has no eFoil base, and neither do Firlej and Nielisz. The nearest eFoil water is Zegrze, about 200 km by road. Giżycko in the Mazury lakes and Katowice are both about 400 km away.
Szczecin, the lagoon and Kołobrzeg
eFoil Szczecin rents a Waydoo Flyer EVO Lite with a 4 kW motor for 600 zł (€135) a day, 1,050 zł (€240) for two, 1,400 zł (€320) for three, 2,000 zł (€455) for five and 2,500 zł (€570) for a week, against a refundable 3,000 zł (€685) deposit. Helmet, vest and instruction come with it. You need no board sport experience, as the first rental starts with instruction, and the board suits riders up to about 90 kg. You collect in town or have it delivered, priced per trip, to Jezioro Dąbie, the lagoon at Trzebież, Stepnica or Nowe Warpno, Świnoujście or Międzyzdroje. eSurf teaches on Fliteboard in Szczecin.
Dąbie covers about 54 km² inside the city limits, the lagoon about 687 km². The Szczecin maritime office's port rules (order no. 3 of 6 April 2023, § 115(6)) cap port waters at 5 knots, except the ports of Świnoujście, Szczecin and Police, which have their own table. The Woliński National Park boundary runs through the sea off Międzyzdroje, and the nature conservation act (Dz.U. 2026 poz. 1315, art. 15(1)(21)) bans motor boats, other motor equipment and water sports in national parks outside the waters or routes the park director designates. On our reading an eFoil falls under motor equipment.
Farther east along the coast, Efoil Kołobrzeg rides Jezioro Kamienica at Dargocice, about 20 minutes from Kołobrzeg, on Fliteboard. It gives no lessons. Beginners pay 400 zł (€90) for a single session with a short briefing; a full day costs 900 zł (€205) and asks for experience, ID and a refundable 2,500 zł (€570) deposit. The limit is 120 kg, and riders from 14 to 17 ride with a parent or guardian present.
The Mazury lakes
In the lake district itself, the eFoil base is Wypożyczalnia Mazury at Port PTTK Wilkasy near Giżycko, on Niegocin. It rents Waydoo boards, states a 1 m draught and publishes no price. North east of Masuria, WOLT SURF at Stary Folwark on Lake Wigry sells a VIP eFoil hour for 350 zł (€80). Wigry National Park opens its waters from 1 May to 31 October and bans combustion and hybrid engines.

Mazurski Park Krajobrazowy bans motor craft on its waters except Śniardwy, Bełdany, Mikołajskie and Guzianka, and Jezioro Nidzkie is a nature reserve. We treat an electric board as motor craft there.
Śniardwy is open water, and MOPR, the Masurian water rescue, warns of short, high waves over its shallow bottom, many stone reefs under 1 m and only 0.8 m of depth over the Miałka Górka reef. Its rescue number, 601 100 100, works across the country; on the Great Masurian Lakes trail and Jeziorak the water alarm number is 984.
Puck Bay, Gdańsk and the Tricity
Most of the coast's eFoil schools are strung along the Hel Peninsula. Water Sports Center in Kuźnica charges 600 zł (€135) for a 60 minute lesson, 400 zł (€90) for 30 and 230 zł (€50) for 15, or 500 zł (€115), 350 zł (€80) and 190 zł (€45) to rent. The water gets deep enough about 60 m out, and children start from about 8. Malayka in Chałupy asks 590 to 690 zł (€135 to €155) for two hours and teaches in wind up to 18 knots. FunSurf in Chałupy runs a course on a Foil Drive assist motor, 440 zł (€100) for a VIP hour, from 30 May to 15 September, 150 m from the station.
Line 213 runs from Reda along the peninsula with stops at Chałupy, Kuźnica and Jastarnia, and the sea there is about 19 °C in July and August. Closer to Sopot, Flyboard Polska rides at Grano Hotel Sol Marina in Gdańsk, Jet Surfing Polska at Ekolaguna on the bay, and Półwysep Zacisze runs eFoil courses on the lake at Przywidz, southwest of Gdańsk.
Inner Puck Bay has no numeric speed limit. Gdynia maritime office orders 14/2013 and 5/2014 set a 370.4 m (0.2 nautical mile) strip along the shore where craft may not plane. A board on its foil counts as planing in our reading, so take off beyond the strip.
Wing foiling in Poland
Wind keeps the opposite calendar to the eFoil. Windfinder's statistics for Poznań Ławica airport show 4 Bft (11 knots) or more in about a quarter of January observations and about one in eight in August. For Mikołajskie and Śniardwy its figures are 21.5 % in January against 2.8 % in August, with west the most common sector. We read that as spring and autumn for the wing, summer for the motor.

On the Hel Peninsula, Surferownia in Jastarnia rents a wing set for 120 zł (€25) an hour and sells a one hour course with all gear for 250 zł (€55). It puts the start of wing riding at about 7 to 8 knots. FunSurf in Chałupy rents wing, board and foil for 150 zł (€35) an hour and gives a one to one stage II lesson for 280 zł (€65).
Inland, LSURF teaches groups of one to three at Port Nieporęt on Zegrze for 280 zł (€65) an hour, at weekends in May, June and September. Wioska Surfów at Wilkasy runs courses with a safety boat from 250 zł (€55) in July and August, and Mikosport teaches on Mietków for 230 zł (€50) an hour.
EASY Test Center at Mysza Surf on Jezioro Kierskie, in Kiekrz in Poznań, gives riders who declare they can wing the first 60 minutes free, then charges 170 zł (€40) an hour for a full set or 90 zł (€20) for one element. It rents to adults (minors with a guardian's written consent) against ID. Bring your own wetsuit and harness, and know that no lifeguard is on duty. More on the coast in wing foiling on the Baltic and wing foil lessons.
eFoil rules in Poland, in plain English
On inland water, the navigation act (ustawa o żegludze śródlądowej, Dz.U. 2025 poz. 18) art. 37a(3) asks for a qualification document, the patent, for a motor yacht with an engine over 10 kW. Its art. 5(1)(1) counts a hydrofoil as a craft. At sea, the maritime safety act (Dz.U. 2026 poz. 529) art. 62(3) draws the same 10 kW line. In our reading a board its maker rates at 10 kW or less sits below it, though whether peak or continuous power counts is unsettled.
Makers put boards on both sides. Waydoo rates the Flyer EVO Lite at 4 kW and the Awake VINGA runs at 4 to 8.2 kW, while the Awake RÄVIK jetboard is rated at 11 kW. Below the line, art. 37a(1) still asks anyone steering a recreational craft to have the knowledge and skills of boating and to keep the safety rules.
The motorboat patent (patent sternika motorowodnego) is open from age 14 (Dz.U. 2026 poz. 604, § 8(1)) and covers inland waters and the sea up to 2 nautical miles from the shore, for craft up to 12 m hull length (§ 8(2)). Under § 22 the exam costs 250 zł (€55) and issuing the document 50 zł (€10). A qualification issued in another country counts in Poland within its scope (art. 37a(6) of the navigation act), and steering without a required document is punishable by a fine (art. 61 point 1).
Registration (Dz.U. 2024 poz. 1536, art. 3(1)(1)) is compulsory for a yacht or an amateur fishing craft over 7.5 m or with mechanical propulsion over 15 kW. Art. 3(2)(3) exempts a surfboard, a sailboard or a similar craft, which we read as covering an eFoil. The navigation rules (Przepisy żeglugowe, Dz.U. 2003 nr 212 poz. 2072, § 6.01 bis) tell craft on underwater foils, and any craft above 40 km/h, to leave others room and claim no right of way. We apply that to an eFoil.
How far you keep from bathers depends on who runs the water. The Bydgoszcz inland office, which covers Zegrze, says 50 m, and the Szczecin inland office 100 m. The Gdynia maritime office asks for 50 m from bathers and 0.1 nautical mile (185.2 m) from the shoreline for motor craft, with the 370.4 m slow zone on the inner Puck Bay on top. Under the Szczecin maritime office it is 150 m from the shoreline at beaches.
Each year the municipal council designates its bathing areas by 20 May, for a season inside 1 June to 30 September. As we read it, the distance rules bite hardest on summer weekends, when the lifeguarded beaches fill. A county council may also restrict or ban craft by kind of propulsion on named waters under art. 116 of the environmental protection law (Prawo ochrony środowiska), and national park and reserve bans come on top. This is a summary and gives no legal advice; other countries are in eFoil rules.
Planning a trip
Most bases open in May and close in September. FunSurf on the Hel Peninsula keeps to 30 May to 15 September, and JetWave rides from June to August. River fed water runs around 16 °C in May and 21 to 22 °C in summer, the Baltic at Hel about 19 °C in July and August.
Bring ID for ElectroSurf, BikeAndSurf, EASY and a full day at Efoil Kołobrzeg. Deposits run from 1,000 zł (€230) at BikeAndSurf through 2,500 zł (€570) for the Kołobrzeg full day to 3,000 zł (€685) at eFoil Szczecin. e-Foil Zegrze rents solo only after Pierwsza Fala, Efoil Kołobrzeg wants experience for its full day, and EASY asks for riders who can wing. Efoil Wrocław and eFoil Szczecin set no experience condition.
